The Gt Crono50 is a multi-zone chronothermostat (max 50 zones).
The connection between the Gt Crono50 and the HXSP extension unit(s) is made using an RS485 communication bus and are all interconnected using a simple 3 core cable.

The connection between the Gt Crono50 and its external HXSP extension units can be made in any configuration (i.e. linear, star, tree configuration).
This connection is achieved using the insulated RS-485 communication bus, making it possible to install the HXSP extension units over a long distance using a simple 3 core cable. This makes the wiring and any system expansion very simple.

Communication with an external network can be made via USB and LAN Ethernet connections. The main programming parameters, the archive downloads and software updates can be made by PC connection via the USB port.
Working mode
The Gt Crono50 can be fully customized via the USB port of the PC using the Gt Crono50Lab software. This software allows the unit to be configured to the systems requirements.
Here are a few examples of the different options offered by the software:
- Assign a name to each area (i.e. zone 01 = Waiting room, zone 02 =Entrance Hall, etc.)
- Number of zones to be controlled by temperature
- Number of zones to be controlled by On-off timer (lights, irrigation, etc.)
- Number of water pumps for each zone
- Assign basic timing to each zone
- Option to condition each zone according to an external contact (i.e. door lock contact)
- Option to control the system by external phone connection.
All the programmed inputs are recorded by PC and transferred to the Gt Crono50 so the each unit can be checked as far as programming; all programming files can be recalled and edited at any time.
Summing up
- At start up (or at any time when required) the Gt Crono50Lab software allows the main system settings to be made or changed (number of zones, name of the zone, number of pumps, etc.).
These settings are downloaded on the Gt Crono50 module using the Gt Crono50Lab software (via the USB port of the PC). - The system operating settings (temperature settings, working hours, mode of operation, etc.) are directly programmed on the Gt Crono50 itself.
Gt Crono50 have internal server web
On board server web can transmit web pages to show functioning state (temperature settings etc) with possibility to change state program far from the device (internet).
Is possible connect directly personal computer through lan plug with TCP-IP cross cable.
If personal computer is already connected to switch, Gt Crono50 will be connected directly to switch and with one browser (ie Internet explorer) if type on address bar the address setted in configuration is possible view the pages made from Gt Crono50 on the browser.
Of course will be view the page also far from local network.
